1. Monitoring Tool — Your Files, Your Responsibility

MacSentinel is a monitoring tool. Its primary purpose is to display information about your Mac’s CPU, memory, network, disk, and process activity. It does not guarantee that your files and data are safe, nor does it protect them.

You are solely responsible for backing up your files. Before using any cleaning, removal, or modification feature, we strongly recommend you back up your important data. We are not responsible for any damage to, loss of, corruption of, or inability to access your files, data, or system, however caused, including by the software’s cleaning features, misconfiguration, user action, or otherwise.

2. No Warranties

MacSentinel is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no guarantee that the software will operate error-free or uninterrupted.

3. Monitoring Accuracy

Monitoring, telemetry, and diagnostic information (CPU, memory, network, disk, and process data) is provided for informational purposes only. Values are approximations based on macOS and Mach APIs, and may vary by hardware, macOS version, and system load. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed by the software, and you should not rely on it for decisions concerning system health, performance, or security without independent verification.

4. Cleaning Features

MacSentinel’s cleaning features — including Smart Care, storage cleaning, memory cleaning, and the app uninstaller — locate, modify, or permanently delete files and other data on your Mac. You are solely responsible for anything those features do to your system:

• Back up important data before running any cleaning or removal action.
• Review what will be removed before confirming a cleaning action.
• We do not guarantee that specific files, caches, or applications will or will not be affected, or that no application will malfunction after a cleanup.
• Deletions performed by the software are typically irreversible.

5. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appsinfoway and MacSentinel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation loss of data, loss of profits, corruption of files, system or application failure, or damage to hardware, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the software.

6. Not Professional Advice

MacSentinel is a system utility, not a provider of professional advice. Anything the software reports or suggests — including cleanup recommendations, resource usage, or troubleshooting guidance — is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or security advice.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

macOS and each app’s own settings, caches, and data are managed by the operating system and the respective app developers. Apple’s operating system behavior and file formats are outside our control and subject to change. References to third-party products or services do not constitute an endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party websites, services, or software.

Apple, macOS, Mac, and Apple Silicon are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. MacSentinel is an independent software product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised disclaimer.
